BM Food Manufacturers (Pty) Ltd. was established in 2006, the result of a merger of two well established food manufacturers in South Africa, namely Bettafresh Prepared Foods and Mediterranean Delicacies.
The merger created an entity that is capable of manufacturing and distributing its unique range of chilled products throughout South Africa. BM Food Manufacturers has two main processing plants, one in Cape Town and the other in Lanseria, just north of Johannesburg.
From these two plants, we are able to deliver fresh products to all our clients throughout South Africa.
In September 2016, we acquired Tuna Marine Foods, a food manufacturer based in the Western Cape with a 50-year history of manufacturing quality olives and pickles under the iconic brands of Tuna Marine and Judy's Pickles.
These two brands are associated with olives, pickled onions, gherkins, jalapeno chillies, cherry peppers, salsa, soy sauce and teriyaki sauce.
Our Mission Statement is to innovate, manufacture, distribute and sell food products of outstanding quality produced in a controlled hygienic environment using only the finest wholesome fresh ingredients.

We empower over 450 staff members and are able to produce over 600 different fresh product lines for major retailers and wholesalers throughout the Southern Africa.
We maintain the highest food quality standards and we proudly boast a complete cold-chain from production, distribution, and into our customers fridge; providing the freshest and highest quality goods these shores can produce.
To guarantee our safety we have on-site laboratories with highly trained individuals to ensure the best standards for our ever growing customer base.
